Nunacor is seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial, business-savvy leader to join our Board of Directors. Board members provide leadership for the organization as well as direct and work closely to identify goals, objectives, and strategic priorities for the organization.

Purpose:
To advise, govern, oversee policy and direction, and assist with the leadership and general promotion of Nunacor and subsidiary companies to support the organization’s mission and needs

Length of term:
Three years, which may be renewed

Expectations of board members:
– Attend and participate in a minimum of 6 meetings per year, including two face-to-face meetings throughout Labrador
– Communicate and promote Nunacor’s mission and activates to the community
– Become familiar with Nunacor finances, budget, and financial/resource needs
– Understand the policies and procedures of Nunacor
– Outline the strategic priorities of the organization

Board of Directors are volunteer positions, and out of pocket travel expenses are provided. Positions are open to NunatuKavut and non-NunatuKavut members, however executive positions must be held by NunatuKavut Members.
