Guest Services Agent – Royal Inn + Suites

Guest Service Agents are responsible for providing a high standard of customer service and ensuring an enjoyable stay at the Royal Inn + Suites by assisting our guests and ensuring a successful check-in, stay, and check-out process.

The Royal Inn + Suites is currently seeking a Guest Services Agent to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. Reporting to the Guest Services Supervisor.

Job Duties:

  • Greeting and registering arriving guests by issuing room keys, answering any inquiries about hotel amenities, and providing general information about points of interest in the local area
  • Maintaining the inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments and making or canceling room reservations using our reservation system
  • Processing guest departures, calculating charges, receiving payments, and thanking guests for their stay
  • Performing day-to-day administrative duties such as answering the telephone, and emails, transferring calls using our switchboard phone system, and performing clerical duties such as faxing, filing, photocopying, scanning, etc.
  • Responding effectively to customer complaints and working together to resolve any issues pertaining to a guest’s stay to ensure a positive experience
  • Providing a high standard of customer service through being professional in appearance and attitude and presenting a positive image of Royal Inn + Suites
  • Work a shift-based schedule that may vary to meet the demands of the role and the organization including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Monitoring and responding to customer feedback on Tripadvisor, Expedia, Guest surveys, Google, etc.
  • Preparing correspondences and monitoring social media accounts
  • Monitoring inventory of supplies and ordering supplies when necessary
  • In charge of hotel and guest security during the entire shift, and are not permitted to leave the premises unattended
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Previous hospitality experience is preferred
  • Must be personable, flexible, and capable of handling a fast-paced environment on peak check-in/check-out times and work under minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with shift scheduling and working evenings, weekends, and holidays

Salary:  $17.00/hour

Start Date:  As soon as possible
